All “small and beautiful” hosts are – depending on their affiliation – controlled and certified by the professional group of hotels of the chamber of commerce Vorarlberg or from the association “Privat in Vorarlberg” and “Urlaub am Bauernhof” (“Holiday on a farm”). They fullfil a whole bunch of guidelines as, for example:

• Equipment: All rooms and flats are equipped with a bathtub or shower and toilet.
• Breakfast: Offered is either an expanded breakfast or a breakfast buffet (except in flats). Flats with breakfast service are specially marked in the brochure.
• Foreign languages: Most hosts speak one or more languages other than their mother tongue. The Knowledge of foreign languages is specially marked in the brochure.
• Opening seasons: Most of the accommodations are open all year through.
• Duration of the stay: Also welcomed are guests who only stay for a short time. Flats are offered for rent for less than one week as well.
