The Alp valley Montafon lays in the south of Vorarlberg at the south-west corner of Austria. It is framed by three majestic mountain ranges: In the north-west the distinctive chalk rocks of the Rätikon, in the south you meet the crystalline central alpine rocks of the partly glaciated Silvretta and in the north-east the Verwall. The Montafon is thus an ideal starting point for all mountain friends. All in all there are 500 kilometres of hiking paths across fields, through woods, from hut to hut, passing by heights and arising to the tops of the Montafon mountain ranges Verwall, Rätikon, and Silvretta (Piz Buin 3.3212 meters). Hikingbuses, ropeways and lifts shorten and make the ways easier to the sunny heights. Mountain and hiking guides assure the safety during (guided) alpine tours and climbing courses. Fullfill your dream of the “Sport in White” in the Montafon. 219 kilometres of marked downhill ski runs of various difficulties assure an ideal allocation for the friends of the “White Sport” in the ski resorts in the Montafon. Hardly any other region can offer such a variety of winter sports. Visitors from the plain land are guided softly to the steep mountain scenery but also ski-run professionals will find their luck there.
